Dena Strum Klein (B.A.) of Mission, KS, was named chief executive officer of Family Features Editorial Syndicate ... Rita Golden Lutzer (B.A.) of Ramsey, NJ, was rated in the top 1 percent of realtors nationwide, with more than $800 million in closed transactions. She has three children and spends the winters in Arizona. One of her children is a doctor at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in San Francisco, CA; another is a realtor and matchmaker in Scottsdale, AZ; and the third is writing a book in NJ ...Dolores E. Cross (M.S.Ed., HND ’92) of Atlanta, GA, wrote Beyond the Wall: A Memoir. She has more than 30 years of experience in higher education; she advocated for multicultural education, championed equal education access for all students, and blazed trails as the first African American female president of Chicago State University and the first female president of Morris Brown College ... Benedict V. Scannella (B.A., M.A. ’73) of New York, NY, recently took part in the Hofstra Cultural Center’s Italian American Experience Lecture Series as a guest speaker. Mr. Scannella is currently a teacher emeritus of humanities and Italian American studies at Copiague High School and the publisher of L’Esperienza Italian American Magazine. The informal lecture series was based on Benedetto Croce’s idea that history is not dead but rather the “reliving of the past in the present mind,” using a combination of live vocal performance, key ideas, lecture and – video segments from historical films.
